The goal of Dare2Read is to bring back a time when children loved reading, and spent their free time with a book. We hope to motivate children between 3-10 years of age to read more, and encourage parents to read not just with their children but also for their children. We want to encourage parents to create a reading environment at home and we hope our reading segment can encourage children to read more books. Presently, we pre-record the sessions and present each participant with a certificate of participation. However, we hope to eventually provide each participant with a token of appreciation, preferably a book. Jim Trelease said, “A nation that reads is a nation that will grow.”
